Products & Availability
Each item is handcrafted, which means:

• Natural variations in colour, texture, scent, and finish are part of what makes each piece unique

• No two items are exactly alike

• Availability may change without notice
   

We do our best to represent products accurately, though colours and tones may appear differently depending on your screen.
 
Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD).

• Prices may be updated at any time

• In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to correct it

• Taxes and shipping are calculated at checkout

By placing an order, you confirm that your payment details are accurate and authorized.
 
Orders
Once an order is placed, it begins processing shortly after.
Because many items are made to order or in small batches:

• Changes or cancellations may not always be possible

• We reserve the right to cancel orders in cases of suspected fraud or error
   

Shipping
We currently ship within Canada (and internationally where available).
Please note:

• Processing times vary depending on the item

• Shipping timelines are estimates and not guaranteed

• Delays caused by carriers, weather, or customs are outside our control

Once your order has shipped, responsibility transfers to the carrier.
 
Returns, Exchanges & Satisfaction
Because our products are handcrafted, we do not offer refunds.
That said — your experience matters.
If something isn’t quite right:

• Exchanges or store credit are available

• Requests must be made within 14 days of delivery

• Items must be unused and in original condition
   

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please reach out within 48 hours with photos so we can make it right.
For custom or personalized items:

• These are final sale and not eligible for exchange

Scent is a personal experience — perception may vary from person to person.
 
Product Care & Use
Our products are created to be enjoyed safely and intentionally.
Sand & Slate is not responsible for:

• Misuse or improper handling

• Failure to follow care instructions

• Allergic reactions or sensitivities
   

For candles:

• Never leave unattended while burning

• Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials

What to Include in the T&C Document

Generally speaking, T&C often address these types of issues: Who is allowed to use the website; the possible payment methods; a declaration that the website owner may change his or her offering in the future; the types of warranties the website owner gives his or her customers; a reference to issues of intellectual property or copyrights, where relevant; the website owner’s right to suspend or cancel a member’s account; and much, much more.
